Twin 5 Watt Luxeon bicycle lights MK4

This is the latest version of my twin Luxeon bicycle headlights.  (Versions one and two and three and five (HID))

I got some new handlebars for my mountain bike and being of the Monkeygrip type with a two inch rise there isn't much of a straight section for mounting my usual single mount which requires a straight section that faces fowards.

So I got some reflector mounts from my local bike shop and used the modified setup from my triathlon bike (version 2). The result is elegant and functional.

Most people ask the bike shop to take the reflectors off new bikes even though they are required by law to be sold with them on. So my bike shop has a box full of old reflectors and reflector brackets. I chose two 27 mm ones, 26mm would have been better but I couldn't find a pair, so I just wrapped a bit of tape around the bars to get the extra diameter. I ran the four wire ribbon cable down to the water bottle cage which I use to hold a 3.5 amp hour Lithium Ion battery and the two current regulator "pucks". I don't have a switch for it yet, I just plug it in and ride.

I think it's my best design yet.
